This site does not invent rates. Every numeric claim is sourced to a primary URL with a pull date - visible inline as a small ↗ caret. Pricing changes are tracked at /changelog. Vendor pricing pages are re-verified monthly; market structure changes (mergers, acquisitions) are tracked as they happen.
How calculator math is validated
The TCO calculator multiplies a per-vendor $/M-MAR rate (derived from each vendor's published pricing page) by a sync-frequency multiplier and adds a warehouse-compute-tax percentage. The percentages come from Snowflake / BigQuery / Databricks documentation and from reproducible worked examples on small test workloads. When a vendor publishes only ranges, the calculator uses the published mid-point and marks the line as "est" in the output.
